Jacob started his Apprenticeship with IChoose, who are an online retailer, he has since developed his skills in online retailing as well as Customer Service.
Jacob enjoys his job and has successfully completed his Diploma in Customer Service level 2.
He is continuing his learning and has progressed to Customer Service level 3.

Connie Tabone

Mercedes Benz
Connie started her Business & Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship at Mercedes Benz, Scotswood Road, Newcastle. She successfully applied for a position in the Sales/Administration Department and has developed knowledge and skills in Banking, Invoicing, Filing, Bringing Cars into Stock and Reception.
Connie said that she "enjoys her role at Mercedes Benz and her apprenticeship".
Reece Rogerson
Job: Trainee Warranty Advisor
Mercedes Benz
Reece started his Level 2 Business & Administration Apprenticeship at Mercedes Benz, Scotswood Road, Newcastle. As an internal progression successfully applied to be an Apprentice as a Trainee Warranty Advisor. He Continues to increase his knowledge and skills and now helps with Vehicle Health Checks. Reece is also receiving company training to enable him to complete Internal Inviocing. Reece said that he "loves working at Mercedes Benz" and is enjoying his Apprenticeship.
Aiden Roche
Job: Motor Vehicle Advanced Apprenticeship
Currently attending Sunderland University
Aiden started his apprenticeship in a Body Repair Centre in Consett, working with damaged vehicles and carrying out mechanical repairs. During this time he achieved his Level 2 qualifications and Functional Skills certificate. He continued onto a Level 3 apprenticeship carrying out diagnostics and rectification procedures.
Having completed this Level he then continued on to progress and become an MOT Tester.
Having also achieved this he decided that further knowledge would help additional qualifications. Aiden applied to study Engineering at Sunderland University where he is now working towards his Degree.
Adam Parker
Job: Diagnostics and Rectification Technician
Employer: Vic Young
Adam started his apprenticeship training aged 16, with Vic Young in South Shields. He completed his training within the allotted time frame. He also gained an NVQ Technical Certificate for a Level 2 in Motor Vehicle before moving on to his level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. His duties involve carrying out diagnostics and rectification procedures.
Adam has now achieved his level 3 Apprenticeship. He continues his learning with Manufacturer based training courses and working towards becoming an MOT Tester.
Ellie Foggin
Job: Receptionist
Employer: Sunderland GP Alliance
Ellie has successfully completed her Customer Service Level 2 qualification and has progressed onto a Level 3 Customer Service qualification with Sunderland GP Alliance.
Ellie works 'front of house' in the surgery and has a very positive and friendly attitude towards the patients, the doctors and her fellow administrators in the Practice.
She has developed her customer services skills and has taken on extra responsibilities to monitor feedback received from patients enabling the Practice to identify improvements that can be made to the service.
Group Training at Milltech
Job: Business & Administration and Customer Service Training
This picture shows part of a group training session at the Milltech Training Centre in Victoria House, Sunderland. All the rooms are light and airy and all class sizes are carefully controlled.
Featured are Ella, Farzana, Jasmine, Rebecca and Ryan who attend fortnightly to augment their training with their employers as they progress towards achieving their Level 2 Business Admininstration and Customer Service qualifications.
Units they will cover include: Understanding Employer Organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors; Examining constituent company departments such as manufacturing, marketing, accounts and distribution; And reviewing how external factors impact on running a company and the need this forces to develop and change.
Jessica Ward
Job: Business Administration
Max Recycle Limited
Jessica left school and applied to Milltech Training who found a placement for her with Max Recycle based in Fencehouses, Houghton-le-Spring. She started her apprenticeship in Business & Administration and was regularly visited by her assessor in her workplace.
Both her employer and Milltech helped develop her skills in reception work and general business knowledge. She completed her Level 2 Diploma in Business & Administration
She was promoted to the position of Finance Assistant during training and was rewarded with salary reviews commensurate with her extra responsibilities.
She is now studying for her Level 3 Diploma in Business & Administration. She enjoys her work at Max Recycle, who provide Waste Services for businesses around the North East and North West of England.
She finds both her job role and the sense of purpose of the company very fulfilling.
Shauna James
Job: Business Administrator
Office: Hedley's Solicitors
When Shauna left school she went to Newcastle College to start her A levels while working at the Stadium of Light part time.
On completion of her course she decided to apply for a workplace based Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
When Shauna met with the Recruitment Team at Milltech it became clear she had a keen interest in a legal career.
Shauna has started working at Hedley's Solicitors in Sunderland City Centre where she is developing her skills and learning about the legal profession and progressing towards her Level 2 Business Administration qualification.
Demi Leigh Robertson
Job: Conveyancing Department
Longden, Walker and Renney
Demi is employed by Longden, Walker and Renney in Sunderland City Centre. Since commencing her Apprenticeship Training, Demi has completed her Level 2 Business & Administration Qualification and progressed onto a Level 3.
Since starting in the Administration Department, she has now progressed on to Conveyancing which she sees as her long term objective.
Demi has proved herself to be highly motivated and ambitious and is keen to progress further in her legal career with Longden, Walker and Renny.
Mohamed Khan
Job: Parts Department
Currently attending Sunderland University
Mohamed started his Level 2 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts Operations at a local Volvo Dealership and suitably achieved the qualification in the allotted time frame.
He then progressed onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts Operations. Again, he achieved qualification in the allotted time frame. He followed this up with Manufacturer training.
Wanting to further his knowledge of engineering procedures he is now studying at Sunderland University on an Engineering Degree Course.
Ben Weighill
Job: Vehicle Technician
High Performance
Ben is working at a local, long established Motor Vehicle Workshop. He started a Level 2 Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship including a Technical Certificate and Functional Skills training. Having achieved this in the required timeframe he then progressed onto his Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle and again achieved and completed in the required timeframe.
Ben is continuing his learning and working towards becoming an MOT tester which he hopes to achieve in the coming months.
Daniel Price
Job: Parts Department
Employer: Bell Trucks
After Daniel applied for a parts position at Bell Trucks the company approached Milltech to support Daniel's further training requirements. He started his Parts Apprenticeship Level 2 as a first step and suitably achieved.
He then progressed onto his Level 3 Parts Apprenticeship which he also achieved.
Daniel is continuing his career with Bell Trucks.
Summer Staines and Taslima Begum
Office: Age UK Sunderland
Summer Staines and Taslima Begum have both been successful in gaining full time employment with AGE UK following their Level 2 Apprenticeship programmes.
Summer Staines is employed as an ActiveAge and SMT Administration Officer having attained her Level 2 Business Administration qualification.
Taslima Begum is employed as a General Office Administrator after attaining her Level 2 Business Administration Certificate.
Both are extending their learning with Milltech and have progressed to Level 3 Apprenticeships.
