Whether you work in hospitality already or you’re looking to start a career in the sector, this apprenticeship can help you gain the skills you need to serve food and drinks in any type of outlet.

Recognise customer profiles in hospitality and how customers have different needs; know the business vision and values, its main competitors, how it fits into the wider hospitality industry and how own area of work contributes to achieving business targets

Use clear and engaging communication to establish a good rapport with customers and ask relevant questions to determine their needs; perform activities to positively promote business/brand standards; support team members to ensure that the products and services delivered are of a high quality.

Proactively support the reputation of the business and be aware of how it compares with its competitors; take a friendly and outgoing approach and enjoy talking and interacting with others; take feedback from customers seriously and actively improve own customer service in line with business/brand standards

Those with an annual wage bill of less than £3m do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy. Instead, 95% of each apprenticeship is funded by the government whilst a 5% investment is required by the employer to enhance the skills of their employee.

    Employers are also be eligible for a £1000 incentive payment if the apprentice is aged 16 – 18.

    Employers with less than 50 employees and where the apprentice is aged 16 – 18, the government will fund 100% of the apprentice and are eligible for a £1000 incentive payment.
