There are various routes to the Level 3 Diploma in Retail Skills; the path chosen is catered to your post within this field. There are also specialized units that can be delivered within the qualification to meet specific industry needs

Management is designed for learners who are already working in retail, or for those who would like to enter into the sector. The qualification supports progression to employment in roles such as Retail Supervisor or Manager. It is also beneficial to those already in similar roles to maximize their career development. It will allow the learner to develop skills and knowledge required for the sector, have existing skills recognised and achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

Sales Professional is designed for learners who are working in retail and deal with close of sales, being aware of products, brands etc.

Visual Merchandising is designed for learners who can demonstrate skills and knowledge within visual merchandising within the retail industry.

Aged 16 – 17 years old Or Young person with a disability and be under 22 years old, Or Young person who qualifies under the Children (Leaving Care) Act (NI) (2002) and who is under 24 years old.

18 – 24 years old working 21 hrs or above in a relevant job role

All aged groups, must be employed or working voluntary in a relevant job role

Oral and written unit assessments through student portfolio with practical vocational observation by a qualified Assessor; Witness Testimonies and Professional Discussion

This apprenticeship standard has been allocated a maximum funding cap of £4,500, which is the anticipated full cost for delivering this standard and the end point assessment.
