This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills required to competently carry out their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding and protecting, young people and adults at risk of harm.

The QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) qualification is intended for those who are working with children, young people and adults at risk, including those in voluntary or unpaid positions. This qualification is also suitable for those who have a specific responsibility in safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education providers and social services.

Qualification SpecificationDuring this 1/2 day course, Learners will develop a greater understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse.
